Baldons & NunehamCommunity Society
Community ownership

A share in your local

The Seven Stars belongs to the community because people bought shares in it. Here's how that works.

The Baldons & Nuneham Community Society is a community benefit society — a democratic, not-for-private-profit organisation that exists to benefit the community rather than its individual members. The pub is owned collectively by its shareholders.

Owning a share means owning a piece of the Seven Stars and having a genuine say in its future. Each shareholder has one vote, regardless of how many shares they hold, and can stand for and vote on the Management Committee at the AGM. Shares are about stewardship and community, not financial return.

How it works

One member, one vote
Every shareholder has an equal say, however many shares they hold.
Community benefit
Any surplus is reinvested in the pub and the community, not paid out as private profit.
A lasting asset
Your share helps keep the Seven Stars open and at the heart of the village.
